What a way to kickoff the 2022 Campaign with our 7th annual Community Care Day!  More than 400 volunteers representing 40+ workplaces, schools, and civic organizations gathered at the Fairgrounds for breakfast this morning, then out to serve in all four corners of Logan County!  THANKS SO MUCH to everyone who came out to show just how well Logan County LIVES UNITED!

IN ZANESFIELD

  • A team from Ag Management Resources did yardwork, painting, and landscaping at Helen Wonders Blue Park.
  • Logan County Electric Cooperative worked on beautification projects and painting at the Jefferson Township Park in Zanesfield.

IN WEST MANSFIELD

  • Teachers from Benjamin Logan Schools helped the Give & Take Food Pantry and Thrift Store with a number of sorting, cleaning, and handyman projects.
  • A team from Citizens Federal Savings & Loan staffed a Second Harvest Food Bank distribution.

IN WEST LIBERTY

  • The team from CenterPoint Energy did some yard work and landscaping at Adriel.
  • Civista Bank sent a team to assemble new office furniture for TCN Behavioral Health.
  • The Logan County Department of Job & Family Services had a team landscaping and painting curbs for safety at Green Hills Community.
  • Richwood Bank sent a team to Lions Park to paint.
  • The West Liberty-Salem Volleyball team painted playground equipment and picnic tables at Lions Park and helped with moving and sorting at the Village offices.

IN RUSSELLS POINT

  • Realtors from Choice Properties Real Estate did yard work and landscaping at the playgrounds on Fox Island and Post Office Island.
  • A team from Logan Acres assisted the Indian Lake Historical Society with moving and sorting through old records, display cases, and shelves.

IN PERRY TOWNSHIP

  • Teachers from Benjamin Logan Schools painted buildings at Perry Park.

IN LAKEVIEW

  • Staff from Mary Rutan Hospital did a variety of projects at Indian Lake State Park, including painting of bridges, waterproofing targets at the archery range, and clearing debris on walking paths.

IN JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP

  • The Bellefontaine Rotary Club installed a new nature play path at Myeerah Nature Preserve.
  • Prescription Bliss had a team at Kirkmont Center working on a painting project at the observatory area.
  • Robinson Investments installed new playground equipment at Benjamin Logan Elementary.

IN DEGRAFF

  • Fire hydrants were painted throughout the village by volunteers from Community Health & Wellness Partners.
  • The Knight family assisted with an inventory and sorting project for G.R.A.C.E.

IN BELLEFONTAINE

  • AGC associates helped Habitat for Humanity by working on the new home being built for a homeless family on West Columbus.
  • Teams from Belletech and Scotts Miracle-Gro delivered meals-on-wheels to homebound residents through LifeCare Alliance.
  • Brewfontaine staff painted rooms at the Logan County Homeless Shelter.
  • The team from Bridges Community Action hung posters promoting the United Way campaign.
  • Teams from Citizens Federal Savings & Loan, Indian Lake Outfitters, Mad River Mountain, Peak Propane, PCPI Plastics, helped sort and deliver more than 12,000 school supplies from our Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive.
  • A team from Citizens Federal Savings & Loan staffed a Second Harvest Food Bank distribution.
  • Rise FM had help with a bulk mailing courtesy a team from Citizens Federal Savings & Loan.
  • A team from the City of Bellefontaine did yardwork and landscaping around the playground and property of the Little Learners Child Care Center.
  • Another team from the City of Bellefontaine painted fencing at the Logan County Historical Society.
  • Community Health & Wellness Partners sent a team to work on painting and landscaping at Union Station.
  • Another team from Community Health & Wellness Partners worked on painting and landscaping for Residential Administrators.  
  • Daido Metal USA had a team paitning picnic tables and other structures at Mary Rutan park.
  • Golden Reserve sent volunteers to help with a raised bed garden at RTC Services.
  • Bankers from Liberty National Bank assembled a bulk mailing for the United Way campaign.   
  • The Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities sent a team to Shawnee Springs to assemble a new pergola for residents.  
  • The Logan County Chamber of Commerce sorted donations for the TCN New Directions Domestic Violence program.
  • Logan County Family Court sent two teams to Discovery Riders to work for the day cleaning the arena and horse stalls.
  • Marker, Inc. had a team landscaping at the Hilliker YMCA.
  • Staff from Mary Rutan Hospital treated and sealed the stage floor at the Holland Theatre.
  • The staff of the Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Services Board of Logan and Champaign Counties went to the New Path Pregnancy Center to pressure wash the building, re-mark the parking lot, and paint the front porch.
  • NX Automotive sent a team to vacuum the seats of the historic Holland Theatre.
  • Richwood Coffee provided complimentary beverages for volunteers at the morning kickoff.
  • Rise FM set up the audio equipment for the morning kickoff at the Fairgrounds.
  • The St. Vincent de Paul Society chapter at St. Patrick Church prepared a grab-and-go breakfast for all 400 Community Care Day volunteers.
  • Women United volunteers painted patio furniture at RTC Services.

IN BELLE CENTER

  • Teachers from Benjamin Logan Schools painted at the Memorial Building.

IN URBANA

  • A family from PowerBuilt visited Caring Kitchen to work on spring cleaning at the homeless shelter that serves as overflow for Logan County when our shelter is full.
