You did it again, Logan County!  198 businesses and 2,597 individual donors combined to pledge $1,102,249 during our 2022 Campaign, making it the ninth straight year you've helped us achieve our campaign goal.  The total is a new record and a three percent increase over last year.

A record-setting United Way campaign has led to record-setting support for community needs in Logan County.  48 human service programs of 27 agencies will split more than $954,000 throughout 2023.  Allocations to Funded Agencies will increase 13 percent over last year and six internal United Way programs are also getting a boost. 

It's all thanks to the fall fundraiser that generated nearly $1.1 million in pledges.  United Way will announce final campaign totals at the LIVE UNITED Awards Breakfast on January 31.

Champion, Watts, and Willoby to Co-Chair 68th annual campaign

United Way and Bellefontaine Intermediate School are recruiting adult role models to match with 3rd graders in a new Lunch Buddies mentoring program this school year.  A volunteer would commit to visit school once a month, developing a special one-on-one friendship over the course of the year with a child through lunch chats, encouragement, and games. 

A familiar face is joining a familiar place.

Bellefontaine native Melody Couchman is being introduced this week as the first Community Engagement Director at United Way of Logan County.  Couchman joins the United Way team in a full-time capacity to help with the annual campaign, special events, volunteer activities, and more. 

For the last four years, NX Automotive Logistics USA, Inc. (formerly known as NEX Transport) has been the top-giving United Way Workplace Campaign in Logan County.  That isn't likely to change this year.

Nine local entities serving Logan County youth will split $25,000 for projects this summer and next school year after the Student United Way committee finalized its grant process this week.  The allocations culminated a four-month leadership development program led by United Way of Logan County, with four juniors and seniors from every local high school participating.
