Stuff the Bus (or Truck)

Forget “Stuff the Bus.”  How about “Stuff the Semi?”  Over 425,000 school supplies filling two straight trucks were delivered to schools throughout Logan County in August by NEX Transport Associates and United Way volunteers.  The deliveries culminated United Way of Logan County’s three-week project to help equip local students with the tools they need to succeed in the classroom this school year.

Associates at NEX spent more than nine hours sorting and organizing donations that were made at 30 collection sites throughout the county.  They helped load and deliver the items to the following school districts:   Bellefontaine, Benjamin Logan, Calvary Christian, Indian Lake, Ohio Hi-Point, Riverside, and West Liberty).

More than 30 workplaces and retail sites participated in United Way’s Stuff the Bus school supply drive this year, including:  AAA; AcuSport Corporation; AGC Glass; Alan Galvez Insurance; Bellefontaine City Schools; Citizens Federal Savings & Loan; Community Markets; Craft Paper Scissors; Daido Metal USA; First Lutheran Church; First United Methodist Church (Bellefontaine); Great Lakes Assemblies; Hilliker YMCA; Logan County Library; Mary Rutan Hospital; Midwest Express; Mobile Instrument; NEX Transport; Ohio Hi-Point; Peak Performance Holistic Health; Precision Custom Products; Richwood Banking Company; Shoe Sensation; SpartanNash; St. Patrick Catholic Church; The Shelly Company; Thomas & Marker Construction; Walmart and Woodforest National Bank.
