More than 13,000 Logan Countians use United Way Funded Programs and services. There are dozens of government and service providers also providing help. Get connected to the help you need!
For Six Hundred Downtown owner Brittany Saxton, food equals community. The five-time World Pizza Champion loves being a restuarateur because a good meal with others can feed not only the body, but the spirit.
"Everybody eats," Saxton says. "So when we break bread, it's a way to bring people together. It's a way to start conversations. And it makes people happy."
Since 2012, United Way has combined with local partners to conduct a Community Needs Assessment every three years to identify gaps in the health and human service network in Logan County. This detailed, 160-page report combines input from a survey of community members, interviews with key leaders, discussions with focus groups, and secondary data to create a comprehensive snapshot of what's good and not so good about our County. From there, working coalitions of government, non-profit, and corporate partners address the top issues.
