| The United Way campaign continues to inch toward its $800,000 goal, adding $22,000 to the total which now stands at $280,430, according to campaign chair Dean Horn. Officials are pleased with the outpouring of support, citing the Honda of America Mfg. campaign as an example. Associate and company contributions total more than $1.75 million and will be distributed among 67 counties in Ohio and another 39 out of state. Last year, Logan County received more than $288,000 from the HAM campaign. Mr. Horn noted that many companies have asked for agency speakers to educate their employees on the various services their donations assist and others have visited the agencies to that end. One such program is the Discovery Riders, which began several years ago through United Way donations. The program offers therapeutic riding for the developmentally delayed and relies heavily on volunteers and contributions.
